Metroid Prime 4: Beyond
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Gameplay Trailer
As part of the Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, a first-person view of metroidvania. The game will be released in 2025 on Nintendo Switch.
In the video, Retro Studios developers showed the new planet Viuvros, where the protagonist, Samus Aran, finds herself. She will again have to explore ruins and scan artifacts.
The new footage focuses on a set of psychic abilities that Samus can explore when the game is released later this year. It’s all very BioShock-like as she scans stone figures and destroys new enemies using purple energy that she controls with her free hand.
Today’s Direct focuses entirely on the current Nintendo Switch version, and there’s confusion as to whether Metroid Prime 4 will get any improved treatment on the Nintendo Switch 2. However, one thing is sure: it will be playable on both platforms.
