It has been almost one year since Riot Games decided to share more information about the Hall of Legends. Fortunately, League of Legends announced that we will see a new Hall of Legends player this May after Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok’s addition to this list in 2024. Here is everything you need to know about it.
2025 Hall of Legends Inductee
As mentioned, the last inducement in the Hall of Legends happened in 2024 when Riot decided to add Faker to this list. We expected that Riot would not add another player in 2025, but after the most recent League of Legends Season 2 dev update, we learned that this will happen.
Even though we do not know the name of the player who will join Faker, Riot gave us some details about him. According to them, this player has “inspired the next generation of upcoming players”, which means that it will be someone who has been around for ages. As mentioned, we will have to wait until May to see what will happen.
In terms of the Hall of Legends is a yearly initiative organized by Riot Games and the famous car brand Mercedes-Benz. After Faker became the first name in it, Riot decided to create special cosmetic items about him. However, there was a special event that included Faker’s most memorable moments over the years.
Considering that Mercedes-Benz was also involved in it, the car brand gave Faker a Mercedes-AMG SL 63. The latter is one of the brand’s most iconic sports models.
Alongside that, Faker also received a portion of the money generated from cosmetic items around him.
What’s Going to Happen in 2025?
We at Blix.gg will keep an eye on Riot Games because the company has yet to announce the full details about the Hall of Legends. We expect to have some kind of voting process that will include judges and people from the Esport community. No one knows the specific criteria for the selection process, but most people assume it is related to the player’s contribution, regional titles, and more.
