    League of Legends Tournaments Preview for 2025 – The Events You Should Not Miss

    Now that most of the big League of Legends tournaments for 2024 are over, fans have slowly focused on 2025. T1’s impressive victory at the 2024 World Championship immortalized the team, but fans are eager to see if Faker and co. can keep their dominating streak. 

    Since 2025 will arrive in just a few weeks from now, we already have information about some of the hottest League of Legends tournaments. Even though there will most likely be changes, we can see most of the big events that will be held. All LoL fans will be eager to learn more, so let’s dive in.

    LEC Winter 2025

    The LEC Series may not be everyone’s go-to option when it comes down to League of Legends tournaments, but they are worth checking. LEC Winter 2025 will be the first option that deserves more attention, and players can watch it from January 18 onward. The competition will be held in Berlin and include an 80K EUR prize pool.

    In terms of the participating teams, there will be 10 of them, and we already know each one:

    • G2 Esports
    • Team BDS
    • Team Heretics
    • Movistar KOI
    • Rogue
    • SK Gaming
    • GIANTX
    • Karmine Corp
    • Team Vitality

    LCK Cup 2025

    If you look at the League of Legends tournaments on Reddit, you will see that the LCK Cup 2025 is among the events that deserve attention. The pre-season tournament will determine which squad will qualify for the new event, so it is very important.

    Speaking of the devil, the LCK Cup 2025 will take place in Seoul, South Korea. Consisting of 10 teams, the tournament is organized by Riot Games and has all sorts of sponsors, including Red Bull, Secretlab, and more.

    Similar to the LEC Winter 2025, we know the names of all teams participating in this competition. They are as follows:

    • T1
    • Freecs
    • FearX
    • Nongshim RedForce
    • DRX
    • Dplus
    • BRION
    • Gen.G
    • Hanwha Life Esports

    If you want to keep an eye on the competition, make sure to tune in on January 15.

    First Stand 2025

    When talking about League of Legends tournaments in 2025, First Stand 2025 will be one of the events that is definitely worth checking. This will be the frist cross-regional competition in 2025 after it was announced in 2024.

    The event should be very fun to watch because it will take place prior to the Worlds and MSI tournaments. Unlike other LoL events, this one will only have 5 teams from each region. In other words, the squads will be from the following events:

    • LEC Winter
    • LPL Split 1
    • LCP Split 1
    • LTA Cross-Conference
    • LCK Cup

    The First Stand 2025 will take place in Seoul and players can follow it between March 10-16. 

    Mid-Season Invitational 2025

    Whether you’re a fan of the League of Legends tournaments EUW or any of the other regions, you know that the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 is one of the most important LoL events of the year. Also called MSI, this is the second cross-regional competition. Unlike the first one, this tournament will be in Canada, and it will take place in July.

    We do not know the teams that will take part yet because players need to wait for the qualifiers to end. Speaking of the quals, here is where the 10 participants will come from:

    • LCK Road to MSI (x2 slots)
    • LPL Split 2 (x2 slots)
    • LTA North
    • LTA South
    • LEC Spring (x2 slots)
    • LCP Split 2 (x2 slots)

    LEC Summer 2025

    People in Germany looking for “League of Legends tournaments near me” will be happy to know that LEC Summer 2025 will take place there. 10 top-tier teams will compete in Berlin for the 80K EUR prize pool. Of course, those who finish in the top 3 slots will also receive a slot for the 2025 World Championship. 

    What’s interesting about the LEC Summer 2025 is that it will begin in June and end in August. We won’t go into details regarding the event’s schedule, but here is a list of all teams that will take part in the competition:

    LCK 2025 Season


    Taking place between April and September, LCK 2025 Season is one of the League of Legends tournaments that you definitely want to pay close attention to. The top 3 teams will receive a slot for the upcoming Worlds, so the event will be amazing to watch.

    Speaking of the teams, there will be 10 of them. The event itself will be held in Seoul, so players can find all of the big names from this region, such as:

    • KT Rolster

    • DRX
    • Hanwha Life Esports
    • Gen.G

    2025 World Championship

    When it comes to the best League of Legends tournaments for 2025, the 2025 World Championship is the event to keep an eye on. Also known as Worlds 2025 or Lol Worlds 2025, this is LoL’s most important tournament. Needless to say, we will have to wait a lot until we find out the names of all participating teams.

    Those who don’t want to miss out on this amazing competition must wait until October 2025. Worlds 2025 will be held in China, and we expect to see even more spectacular results than in 2024. In case you don’t know, Worlds 2024 broke a lot of records in terms of viewership.
