Riot Games does not often release ground-breaking changes related to its most popular game. However, according to SkinSpotlights, there is a new thing called the WASD movement in the PBE server, and it could change anything. Here’s what you need to know about it.
The WASD Movement Changes
Based on the research from Skin Spotlights, players will have the chance to set up the WASD Movement in the game. When this mode is enabled, LoL players can use the W, S,A and D keys to move to their respective directions. In other words, League of Legends would feel very similar to other types of games, including MMOs like World of Warcraft. The good news is that you can still use your mouse’s clocks to move and attack targets.
There is no arguing that these changes seem weird, however, they may attract a lot of new players to the game. MOBAs have become a lot more complex to get into, so trying to make a game look similar to other popular titles could increase its popularity among new players.
Assuming that the LoL WASD movement changes become live, it could mean that LoL players will have access to a controller. Using a controller could make it easier to dodge certain abilities, kite, and do a lot more.
Other News
Alongside the potential addition of WASD movements, Skin Spotlight also shared that League of Legends might be getting a new mode called Monarch. By the looks of it, this mode will have 18 players that will be in premade duos or as many as 24 players in a premade trios.
It would be interesting to see if Riot decides to add the new WASD movement to its game mode. It’s worth remembering that the company already did something similar with its PVE mode, Swarm.
