Esports Game of the Decade – League of Legends

Riot’s LoL became the Esports Game of the Decade. Thanks to the game’s impressive history, popularity, and the successful Netflix series called Arcane, the game made a huge impact in the world of video games and esports.
Aside from League of Legends, the nominees include Fortnite, Call of Duty, Dota 2, Counter-Strike, Rocket League, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang.
Esports PC Player of the Decade – Faker
This is probably the least surprising result at the Esports Awards 2025, and for a good reason. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok is a living legend and grabbed the Esports PC Player of the Decade award. The legendary South Korean superstar has 5 Worlds titles and has been the most successful LoL player ever.
He was nominated alongside Nisha, Miposhka, Caps, Aspas, ZywOo, N0tail, s1mple, and Coldzera.
Espots Contoller Player of the Decade – Shotzzy
The Call of Duty & Halo superstar Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro won the best Esports Controller Player of the Decade award. He has countless trophies throughout his career, including Four World Championships, MVP honours, and more.
The other nominated players included SIMP, HungryBox, Formal, Crimsix, HungyBox, SonicFox, Scum, TurboPolsa, Kaydrop, SnakeBite, and ImperialHal.
Esports Breakthrough Player of the Decade – ZywOo
There were many Counter-Strike players who deserved this prize, but in the end, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut won the Esports Breakthrough Player of the Decade. The French superstar has consistently been one of the best in the world in the last couple of years and has 27 HLTV MVP Awards. This is definitely an interesting category, and we did not know what to expect. In the end, Felix “xQc” Lengyel won the Streamer of the Decade award after accumulating a jaw-dropping following on Twitch. He is famous for playing various FPS games.
Besides xQc, we had the following nominees – Gaules, Shroud, Ibai, Ninja, Summit1G, Polimane, Tarik, Rivers, Tyler1, Sodapping, TimTheTatMan, Kameto and Mortal.
Esports Team of the Decade – T1
It seems like League of Legends won 3 prizes because T1 also won the Esports Team of the Decade award. This did not come as a surprise to most people, especially after Faker won the other reward.
