The journey for Fnatic and PSG.Talon at Worlds 2025 came to an end after the two teams lost their deciding matches. They will have to regroup after the event, having suffered 3 consecutive losses.
KOI vs Fnatic
The first match of the day put together KOI and Fnatic. Both have two losses before this series, so it was “do or die”, and they had no room for mistakes. As expected, the series was epic and in the end, KOI reigned supreme.
In Game 1, KOI took the lead early on and set the tone by applying strong early pressure. Fnatic had no way of answering and simply started preparing for Game 2.
Speaking of the devil, Game 2 was all about Fnatic. The team stabilized its play and won several key teamfights. Thanks to the consistent and successful rotations, the squad was able to equalize the match and push it into a final 3.
Game 3 was an epic match where both squads tried to give everything they had. Fnatic took control early on, but KOI came on top following a crucial Baron kill. This gave the squad the much-needed lead and they managed to keep it until the end.
Sadly, the loss put an end to Fnatic’s ambitions to win Worlds 2025.
Keyd Stars vs PSG.Talon
Keyd Stars vs PSG.Talon was the second “do-or-die” match of the day and the SEA powerhouse failed to live up to he expectations.
Game 1 started very well for the South Americans as the team secured early leads in lanes. It didn’t take long for them to snowball out of control and secure the lead in the series.
The good news for Talon is that they bounced back in Game 2. The team looked very motivated and outplayed their opponents to push the match into Game 3.
The third match also started strongly for PSG.Talon but Keyd Stars was able to stay composed. It seems like the draft that focused on the mid and late game paid off, especially in the decisive team fight up to.
Conclusion
The two matches put an end to Fnatic and PSG.Talon’s performance at Worlds 2025. Even though their opponents won, this does not mean they are in a good position because they are just one loss away from elimination.
