The Grand Final of the LoL MSI 2025 allowed us to watch a classic rivalry between two powerhouses. T1 faced off against Gen.G in an epic deathmatch where everything was possible. In the end, however, Gen.G was better than their opponents and claimed a hard-fought victory.
Gen.G Maintains its MSI Crown After Defeating T1
It is safe to say that this was one of the most anticipated League of Legends matches at the Mid-Season International 2025. The two LoL teams ripped through everyone to reach the Grand Final, so it was time for an epic clash.
Speaking of ripping through, Gen.G was eager to take the lead in the series, so it focused on the Lucian-Braum combo. After securing the Drake 12 minutes into the game, the team looked good, but this was when Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok came into play.
Following a few epic fights and mistakes from Gen.G, T1 was able to claim the lead in the match. The team proceeded to push its opponents until the lead was too big to overcome. T1 got the next Drake after eliminating Gen. G’s players and secured the lead in this epic series.
Game 2 was much closer as both teams were neck and neck the entire time. In the end, however, Gen.G got a slight lead over its opponents. After securing the Baron and Ocean Soul, T1 did not have many options left at the time. With a 13k gold difference, the team had no other option but to focus on Game 3.
The third match was a classic display of skill from T1. The team grabbed the lead early on and maintained it through the end. The squad kept dominating every single flight and ended the map with a score of 20-2 kills, giving it a comfortable morale lead in game 4.
Despite dominating in the previous game, T1 was unable to maintain its performance in the next two matches. Both teams played cautiously, but in the end, Gen.G got the lead and pushed the game into its final match.
Game 5
It’s safe to say that Game 5 of the League of Legends MSI 2025 Final between Gen.G and T1 had everything a LoL fan could wish for. It was intense, strategic, and full of action.
Following the somewhat slower start, Gen.G took control and did not let it slip. The team played flawlessly and did not make any mistakes that would allow T1 to bounce back. The team deserved its victory and continues its jaw-dropping win streak.
