The time has finally arrived, and the latest League of Legends update is here. The LoL Patch 25.13 will be extra special because it will be the patch that hosts the Mid-Season Invitational. As expected, there are several significant changes that you need to be aware of, so let’s learn more about everything.

Updated Maps for ARAM & Return of the Arena
One of the most significant changes in the League of Legends Patch 25.13 is the introduction of the ARAM game mode. The new mode is unique because it offers a rotating map pool (the map that you will play on will be decided randomly) and offers a new map called Koeshin’s Crossing. What’s different about it is that it will feature portals that are available to players.
On top of all that, we will also see the return of the Butcher’s Bridge. This has always been a fan favorite, and Riot Games finally decided to bring it back. Another new thing that Riot added is the Champion Cards, which you can choose from. The champions not selected will be benched, whereas the others will be available for picking.
Another thing that the LoL Patch 25.13 will give players access to is the Arena. Riot decided to bring it back for 12 months. The game developers decided to listen to the community, so players can compete for another year.
Battle Pass Improvements
Another new thing in the League of Legends Patch 25.13 is the upcoming Battle Pass improvements. Riot will introduce some changes to improve how people can get Battle Pass XP in Act 2.
- Starting with the Champions Mastery, the new system will allow you to get the full 2500 BXP by using any champions you like instead of those that were offered by the Master Set.
- Additionally, players will have access to different Catch Up Missions. Instead of the weekly missions that last for 7 days, there will be weekly missions that last for 21 days. This is great because until the 23.13 LoL patch, there was no catch-up method available.
- Windows Compatibility Mode – Starting with patch 23.13, players won’t be able to launch LoL or Teamfight Tactics in Compatibility Mode on Windows.
- Reporting Updates – There is a new category called Rank Manipulator, which you can use when reporting someone. Also, instead of “Intentional Feeding”, players will now see “Disruptive Behavior”.
- Players won’t get any AFK penalties if they reconnect in the match and win the game.
Champion Changes
Alongside the general changes, the League of Legends Patch 25.13 also introduces various Champions changes. We can’t include all the new things, so we recommend checking the complete update log for more information.
Sanctum and Mythic Shop Updates
The new LoL patch also adds changes in this department because Spirit Blossom Morgana will be in the Sanctum in 25.13.
Interestingly, Riot also decided to buff Mythic Essence in the Sanctum. Following the changes, the latter will provide more resources per Ancient Spark and more overall. There will also be an increase in the S-Tier duplicate payout for Mythic Variants from 100 to 130 Mythic Essence.
Upcoming Skins
As with any big LoL Patch, the current one will allow us to access many new skins. Here is a list of some of them:
- Spirit Blossom Aakali
- Spirit Blossom Hwei
- Spirit Blossom Nidalee
- Spirit Blossom Karma
- Spirit Blossom Kayle
There will also be new chromas for these champions.
Conclusion
Alongside everything mentioned so far, the League of Legends Patch 25.13 also includes various big fixes. All in all, it seems like it will be a pretty interesting patch, especially when you take into account the fact that MSI is about to begin iun just a couple of days.
