T1 Defeated FlyQuest
Following T1’s victory yesterday, Faker and the rest were looking to start Worlds 2025 with a bang, and they did. This was one of the more interesting matches, as it could have gone either way due to its Bo1 format. In the end, however, the Korean powerhouse proved that it was the current champion and defeated its North American opponent.
Gen. G, Top Esports and CTBC Flying Oyster Lived up to the Expectations
Gen.G is the big favorite to win Worlds 2025, so it’s probably no surprising the team defeated PSG Talon. The game was definitely closer than we expected, but the LCK powerhouse proved they are the best in the world.
Top Esports also impressed us with their results after winning against G2 Esports. The same can be said about CTBC Flying Oyster because the team dealt with Fnatic.
Surprising Losses
While most of the Worlds 2025 favorites lived up to the expectations, others failed. Hanwha Life is definitely the first name that comes to mind because the squad lost its match against Anyone’s Legends. This puts it in a tricky position because it needs to win the upcoming game against G2 Esports.
Bilibili Gaming, last year’s finalist, also made an “oopsie”. The team lost against 100 Thieves and will be looking to redeem itself in the clash against Fnatic.
Round 2 at LoL Worlds 2025
