Riot finally decided to reveal all the participating teams and players we will see at the LCK 2026 Season Opening. We will have five teams that have top-tier LoL professionals and they will start playing on January 9.
LCK Season Opening
The Season Opening in the LCK is a special ceremony event that we will see once the LCK season starts. All players will be drafted in mixed teams depending on their role, and each team will have its assigned captain. Fans will have the chance to see teams from organizations like Gen.G Esports, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, and the Worlds 2025 winners – T1.

LCK Cup 2026
Keep in mind that we are also just a few days away from the LCK Cup 2026. This is the pre-season tournament that will be used to determine the teams that will qualify for the initial international event of the 2026 season, called 2026 First Stand.
The LCK Cup 2026 will be held between January 14 and March 1 and we will have the following participating teams:

- BRION
- SOOPers
- T1
- Gen.G Esports
- Hanwha Life Esports
- FEARX
- KGT ROlster
- Nongshim RedForce
The 10 teams will be in two groups, where we will see matches between January 14 and February 1. Following that, LoL fans will have access to the Play-In stage (Feb 6-8), and then the Playoffs (Feb 12 – March 1).
