According to sources close to BLIX, Gonçalo “Crusher” Pinto Brandão has reached a verbal agreement with UCAM Esports Club to be the new head coach of the League of Legends project.
Crusher will return to UCAM after spending 2023 with KOI Academy in the Superliga and fnatic in the LEC. The Portuguese coach is one of the most well-regarded coaches in the Iberian scene for finishing the most recent Superliga Summer Split in third place.
UCAM on the other hand had to play relegations, but managed to keep their place after beating Wizards 3-2 in the lower bracket finals.
At the moment BLIX can’t say for sure what other pieces will be changed in UCAM’s roster, but are following the Superliga closely as part of the League of Legends off-season.
