Steve "LiQuiD112" Arhancet, Team Liquid's co-founder and co-CEO, addressed the fans after the failed performance of the League of Legends team in the end season.
He promised that in the new season "the team will be different" and built according to different principles.
"The roster will be different, doubling down on some of the areas where we've seen incredible success so far, and also the opportunity to build players using the Team Liquid infrastructure rather than this concept of building super teams, which has always kind of worked for us to a certain degree, but I think times are changing, so we're going to be doing a lot of changes. We're in the thick of it this very moment, every single day. I'm working very closely with the players and the staff to do right by everyone and hold our integrity in the highest regard on how we get to next year," he said.
Arhancet noted that a lot of money was spent on creating a "super-team", but it did not live up to expectations. He regretted that the bet didn’t work and apologized to the fans and sponsors. At the same time, the organization does not intend to give up and is going to compete for good results next year.
"I'm sorry to our partners, our fans, for what has been an epic failure, but I promise you that we have not broken our will, and we will fight. And we are going to prove to everyone that we can do something really special in League of Legends," LiQuiD112 said.
At the same time, the manager didn’t name a single player, to whom there could be claims about or whom he plans to replace.
Now, he has offered to support another team at the 2022 World Championship.
Team Liquid ranked fourth at LCS Summer 2022 and didn’t get a slot for the Worlds.
