    Format and Dates

    LCS Summer 2024

We will see eight teams compete in a double round-robin tournament to two wins. The top six teams from the regular season will then advance to the playoffs to compete for the right to represent North America at the upcoming LoL Worlds 2024.

We have seven weeks of competition ahead of us, starting June 15 and ending August 11. Then we will see the top six! Twitter posted about the match schedule.

The end date is only approximate, as there may be a two-week break during the split to prepare for the 2024 LCS World Championships, which is expected in early July.

The playoff bracket will determine the three teams representing the region at Worlds. The first two will get direct access to the Main Event, while the third-place team must go through the play-in stage.

The prize fund will be 200 thousand dollars. Of these, the team that takes first place will receive 100 thousand, the second place 50 thousand, the third 30 thousand, and the fourth place 20 thousand.

    LCS Summer 2024 Teams

After Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians left, the team count was reduced to eight. However, the introduction of live matches increased the number of viewers. The LCS plans to make further changes in the summer, bringing back the Bo3 format commonly used by the Eastern regions (LPL and LCK).

Eight teams listed below will participate in the upcoming LCS:

    • 100 Thieves
    • Cloud9
    • Dignitas
    • FlyQuest
    • Immortals
    • NRG
    • Shopify Rebellion
    • Team Liquid

The LCS 2024 Summer Split will be streamed live on the official LCS channel on Twitch. If you missed a match, you can watch full replays of each game day, available on the channel after the conclusion of each game day.

    Summary

In the summer, the North American region is again looking to prove itself internationally. During the MSI 2024 LCS, the LCS was mocked because FlyQuest failed the play-in stage and could not reach the grid stage.
