While the LEC broadcasts are very high quality – no matter if you watch the English show or one of the national versions – making it to Berlin to attend a match day in person can be challenging to most fans. That’s why Riot Games announced the LEC Roadtrip, which aims to bring the excitement of the best EMEA league to the fans.
The LEC Roadtrip is a set of special showdays, where matches will be hosted by some of the teams. For the first time, Movistar KOI and Karmine Corp will be the ones to invite the fans and other teams to their homes, Spain and France respectively.
LEC Roadtrip – Movistar KOI
Movistar will be the first to host an event during the Spring LEC Split on April 26 and 27. Movistar KOI, G2 Esports, GIANTX, and Fnatic will compete in matches at the Madrid Arena in the capital of Spain.

On Saturday, G2 will face GIANTX, while MKOI will play against Fnatic. On Sunday, we will have another El Clásico with G2 Esports and Fnatic duking it out. A new rivalry could emerge when Movistar and GIANTX lock blades.
LEC Roadtrip – Karmine Corp
The new LEC champions, Karmine Corp, will host an LEC Roadtrip two weeks after MKOI in the town of Évry, located 30 kilometers from Paris. The matches will be played on May 10 and May 11, and the invited teams will be slightly different. While G2 will be there, instead of Fnatic and GIANTX, SK Gaming and Team Vitality will get a chance to play in front of the French crowd.

The Best of Three series will kick off with G2 Esports fighting SK Gaming on Saturday, followed by KC versus Vitality on Sunday. Then, Team Vitality and SK will decide who is the better team, while KC and G2 will replay the LEC Winter Split Finals on Sunday.
Riot Games also made it clear that the LEC Roadtrip will not take the place of the LEC Roadshow that’s supposed to happen at the end of the Summer Split. The other scheduled matches of the Spring Season will also still happen, the only difference being they will be broadcasted from the Riot Games Arena in Berlin. If the Roadtrips are a success, Riot will also bring it back in future seasons!
The LEC Spring Split will kick off at the end of March with some teams having some reshuffles in their rosters. Team Vitality benched Zdravets “Hylissang” Iliev Galabov to sign Yasin “Nisqy” Dincer, SK Gaming got Mehdi “Boukada” Lahlou from Karmine Corp’s LFL team, while GIANTX is also looking to swap their jungler as Can “Closer” Celik is taking a break from competing.
But first, there is the First Stand event, which pits the five best teams of the Winter Splits against each other. Team Liquid, Karmine Corp, Hanwha Life Esports, Top Esports, and CTBC Flying Oyster will face each other starting March 10 in the South Korean Lol Park in Seoul.
The LEC Roadtrip will be broadcasted on the usual channels such as lolesports.com, the official LEC Twitch channel, as well as on YouTube and TikTok, as well as the usual co-streamers streaming the event. You can expect some national broadcasts as well, so there’s a high chance that you can find the LEC Roadtrip in your own language!
