Close sources confirm that NYYRIKKI esports verbally agreed to the selling of their spot in the Nordic League of Legends Championship (NLC). This means that the Finnish organization would leave the Nordic scene after just a year, when they qualified for the league in the 2022 Spring Qualifier.

The spot would be acquired by Lionscreed. A London-based esports team founded in 2019, with squads in both Fortnite and League of Legends. Their previous appearances in the League scene mainly reside in competing in Tier 3 tournaments, such as in NLC 3rd division at the beginning of 2022. The agreement between the two parties would’ve been reached somewhen around early August, with the definitive approval from the League recently.

This acquisition only kickstarts a possible chain of new organizations coming to the league, thanks to the exponential increase in audience experienced this Summer, which has brought the interest of some organizations mainly from Northern Europe interested in joining the League Scene.

Additional possible deals are being discussed as these news are being released. Make sure to follow BLIX.GG to stay up to date with the latest news about the NLC and the ERL scene.

(Pending Riot Approval)
