Following a tweet regarding the LoL 25.5 Patch notes, it became clear that many things will change. Here’s a quick overview of most new stuff.
AD Carries Changes
For starters, the 25.5 patch in LoL will feature a lot of important nerfs to some of the AD Carries. Ashe and Aphelios are the two main focus of attention because both have been dominating the game.
It seems like the game’s devs are satisfied with the current state of most AD carries, so these two will be the only ones to receive big changes. One of the reasons for this decision is because of the lane swap changes. The developers believe that this will have a big impact on the ADC meta, but we have yet to see if this will be the case.
Champions Buffs
Another thing we can expect in the LoL Patch 25.5 is different champion buffs and nerfs. Judging from what we have access to, the following heroes will receive a buff:
- Mundo
- Zed
- Aphelios
- Seraphine
In terms of nerfs, the list includes a lot more names. Alongside Ashe, who we mentioned above, Ambessa, Elise, Aurora, K’Sante, Cho’Gath, Skarner, and Yorick will also receive small changes.
Domination Runes
Another change in the LoL Patch 25.5 that fans can expect to see is related to the Domination Runes. Riot will actually throw a buff to those who rely on these runes, but “not so much to fully make up for the loss of the adaptive”.
After these changes, the Legue of Legends devs will monitor specific champions to see how they perform. According to the information, Blue Kayn and Evelynn will be the two who will receive the changes.
ADC Items and Tanks
Another set of changes that LoL players can expect to see is related to the ADC Items and Tanks. According to the tweet, Riot will make ADCs a bit better at killing tanks.
Tham Kench
Tham Kench is one of those LoL champions who can be extremely annoying to play against. Following some of the recent changes, he is slowly becoming more popular than before and it seems like Riot will address it.
Based on the information, he has been “slowly creeping up over time”, so the team will be “looking to take him down a bit”. This is bad news for players who relied on the champion, but we are yet to see what the nerf will look like.
Cassiopeia
Another LoL champion that will receive small changes in patch 25.5 is Cassiopeia. The pre-emptive buff she received made her a bit stronger than the team wanted him to be. Consequently, the LoL patch 25.5 will revert those changes.
