After spending close to 6 months with OG, KheZu decided to part ways with the organization. The team hasn’t had the best results lately, so most people were not surprised by this decision.
OG Part Ways with KheZu
Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann used to be one of the most promising European Dota 2 players. After spending some time with different clubs, he decided to join OG as a coach and help the team achieve the results it needed. Unfortunately, the squad struggled to remain competitive in the last couple of months, which is why OG decided it was time to part ways with him.
After the announcement of the new OG.LATAM roster and the changes within OG’s European roster, the organization also decided to change its coach. We do not know who is going to fill in KheZu’s spot yet, but we expect OG to come out with more details soon.
KheZu & OG
As mentioned, the German player who turned coach joined the organization in October 2024. He used to be a professional player who competed for various teams, including Quincy Crew. Since 2022, however, he has begun to focus more on roles outside of competitive play, such as commentator and analyst.
KheZu became a part of OG during a time when the organization introduced a completely new roster. The team definitely looked promising on paper, but it did not live up to expectations. OG failed to achieve anything significant and did not qualify for the big tournaments.
We really hope that things will get better for one of the best teams in Western Europe because fans are eager to see OG in action. As for KheZu, we at Blix.gg would not be surprised if he decides to become a professional player again. He has many fans worldwide, and since a lot of teams are currently looking for new players, we may decide to come back in action.
