PGL Wallachia Season 3 is one of the big Dota 2 tournaments that will take place in early 2025. After covering all teams that received a direct invitation, it was time for us to wait for the Closed Qualifiers. The battle was epic, but now that the clashes are over, we finally know the names of all the participating teams.

Some results were a lot more interesting than others, so let’s dive deep into what happened in each region. As for the tournament itself, PGL Wallachia Season 3 will begin around 2 months from now, so expect more details about it soon.

    Contents

    • 1 North America
    • 2 South America
    • 3 Western Europe
    • 4 Eastern Europe
    • 5 China
    • 6 Southeast Asia
    • 7 Conclusion

    North America

The PGL Wallachia Season 3 Closed Qualifiers in North America included a total of 4 teams. To be completely honest, these were probably the least interesting qualifiers out of all because one team was clearly above the rest. Speaking of teams, we saw the following:

    • Wildcard
    • Yory Ryodan
    • Saadboys
    • Marpic Esports

As expected, Wildcard had little to no problems. The team won against everyone without dropping a single game and secured the NA spot for the tournament.

    South America

The PGL Wallachia Season 3 Closed Qualifiers in South America were a lot more interesting than those in NA. For starters, we had a lot more teams to watch, some of which surprised us with their results. Here are the names we came across:

    • FUSION
    • Hokori
    • Looking for Org
    • M80
    • Infamous
    • Perro Negro
    • Blade Breakers
    • If tourney

The battle here was fierce, but FUSION and Looking for Org proved to be better than the rest. We expected FUSION to be the one that would get the only slot from South America, but this wasn’t the case. After an epic battle in the Grand Final, Looking for Org won the Bo5 series and will be going to Romania.

    Western Europe

It comes as no surprise that the Western European qualifiers for PGL Wallachia Season 3 are the most interesting ones. We had the chance to see several big names, some of which are fan-favorites. What made these quals even more interesting was the fact they have 2 slots instead of one.

These are the teams that took part in the battle for these slots:

    • AVULUS
    • Nigma Galaxy
    • MOUZ
    • OG
    • Zero Tenacity
    • Chimera Esports
    • Jigglin
    • Team Turkiye

Unsurprisingly, AVULUS became the first team to secure a slot for PGL Wallachia Season 3. Xibbe and the rest of his crew had no issues and got the slot from the Upper Bracket. The final game between them and Nigma Galaxy was very close, but AVULUS was better and won the game.

As expected, the second slot from Western Europe for the PGL Wallachia Season 3 went in favor of OG. The latter had an epic battle in the Lower Bracket after losing to Zero Tenancity early on. Following the accident, the team defeated 4 opponents in a row, including Nigma Galaxy in the LB Final.

    Eastern Europe

Moving on to the Eastern European PGL Wallachia Season 3 Closed Qualifiers, they also gave us access to a lot of big names. Like in WEU, Eastern Europe also got 2 slots, which is good because there are several teams here that deserve more attention. Speaking of the devil, here are all of their names:

    • Natus Vincere
    • L1GA TEAM
    • Virtus.Pro
    • 1win Team
    • BanyaPivoSamogon
    • NAVI Junior
    • Quantum Team
    • One Move

It probably comes as no surprise that Natus Vincere was the first team to secure a slot for the tournament. The organization’s current roster is very dangerous, and we saw this in these qualifications. BOOM and the rest ended up winning the first slot without dropping a single game. They even defeated Na’Vi’s Junior team in the final.

The second team from Eastern Europe that will attend the tournament in Romania is BanyaPivoSamogon. Surprisingly, the stack defeated a lot of the big names, including Virtus.Pro, L1GA Team, and Na’Vi Junior.

    China

Normally, the Chinese qualifiers for different Dota 2 tournaments are amazing to watch. Even though we only got to see 4 teams in these quals, the matches were epic, to say the least, because these squads consisted of some of the best players in the region. To make the games even more interesting, China only had one slot for the PGL Wallachia Season 3.

In terms of teams, this is what we got:

    • Yakult Brothers
    • Team Tidebound
    • Titan
    • Spiky Gaming

Although most people expected the Yakult Brothers to win, Ame and the rest did not defeat Team Tidebound. Shiro and co-won against their opponents two times and proved they deserved the slot.

    Southeast Asia

Lastly, we have the Southeast Asian Closed qualifiers. They were as intriguing as always because we had tons of big teams competing for just one slot. The teams here were as follows:

    • BOOM Esports
    • Talon Esports
    • Ascent Esports
    • The MongolZ
    • Young Blood
    • Execration
    • InterActive Philippines
    • Yangon Galacticos

The battle was epic, but we weren’t surprised that BOOM Esports and Talon Esports were the two that reached the Grand Final. Talon was clearly the better team here because it defeated BOOM in the UB final and then did the same in the Grand Final. What’s even more impressive is that the team did not drop a single map.

    Conclusion

Now that the qualifiers and directly invited teams are set, all we need is to wait for the tournament to start. PGL Wallachia Season 3 will include all big teams and Dota 2 players, so it will definitely be worth following. Starting in early March, it will be interesting to see who’ll win the majority of the $1M prize pool.
