PGL Wallachia Season 4 – Overview
Following the end of the PGL Wallachia Season 4 qualifiers, we know the names of all Dota 2 teams that will compete. The tournament will take place at the PGL Studio in Bucharest, and those wishing to follow it live must tune in between April 19 and 27. It will have 16 teams that will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
An interesting thing about the competition is that it will be the 2nd PGL Wallachia event of the year. Assuming everything goes as planned, we will also have access to the PGL Wallachia Season 5, which will take place in November this year.
The Format
After learning some basic information about the PGL Wallachia Season 4, it’s time to check the tournament’s format. Similar to Season 3, the 4th season will consist of a Group Stage and Playoffs.
The Group Stage will bring all teams together in a one-modified Swiss-system format. All matches here are in a Bo3 format, and once all matches are over, the top 8 squads will advance to the playoffs. Sadly, all of the rest will be eliminated from the tournament.
In terms of the Playoffs, the teams that succeeded will be in a double-elimination bracket. All matches there (aside from the Grand Final) will be in a Bo3 format. There’s a tradition in Dota 2 that the Grand Final is in a Bo5 format, and PGL Wallachia Season 4 will also adhere to it.

Some of the Dota 2 teams are definitely in a much better position than others to win this event. In fact, let’s learn more about some of the potential favorites.
PARIVISION
We at Blix always say that a Dota 2 team is as good as its most recent results. Assuming this is true, there is no arguing that PARIVISION is the big favorite to win the PGL Wallachia Season 4. The Eastern Europeans surprised everyone by achieving impressive results. Despite losing against Tundra Esports in the Upper Bracket Semifinals, the squad bounced back from the Lower Bracket, took revenge against Tundra, and defeated Team Spirit in the final.
Since the PGL Wallachia Season 4 takes place just a few days after the end of ESL One Raleigh 2025, the meta will be the same. This puts PARIVISION in an excellent position to win yet another big Dota 2 competition.
Team Spirit
Team Spirit was the finalist of ESL One Raleigh 2025 and is definitely among the Dota 2 teams to keep an eye on in this competition. Whether you want to bet on the tournament or just watch it, Team Spirit should be one of the options to focus on. The EEU powerhouse has always been one of the big favorites in all tournaments, and this one isn’t an exception.
Spirit seems to have a solid grasp of the current meta. The team is aware of what works and what does not, and we believe it will use it in the upcoming tournament. The PGL Wallachia Season 3 was fairly good for TS because the squad ended up 4th, but we expect to see a top 3 finish in Season 4.
Team Falcons
Despite not achieving the best result in Raleigh, Team Falcons is among the PGL Wallachia Season 4 favorites. This is one of those teams that has consistent results across almost all events. We have seen that they have a solid understanding of the meta and believe that they have real chances of winning.
Tundra Esports
There is no arguing that Tundra Esports has been one of the leading Dota 2 teams in the last couple of months. Besides winning many tournaments, the squad is almost always among the best three, and it’s safe to say it knows the meta.
Despite the recent roster changes that led to the arrival of Crystallis, Tundra continues to be a dominant force in Europe. The team was one of the big favorites of ESL One Raleigh 2025, but it failed to reach the Grand Final. Nevertheless, the team finished third, and it has a solid chance to win the current event.
Team Liquid
Lastly, we have one of the most consistent Dota 2 teams in the last 3 years. Team Liquid did not impress us at all with its results at ESL One Raleigh 2025, but there was a reason for it – the squad was missing Nisha. Now that the Dota 2 legend is back in action, Liquid definitely looks like one of the big PGL Wallachia Season 4 favorites.
Conclusion
PGL Wallachia Season 4 is definitely an event you do not want to miss. The tournament will offer many epic moments, so make sure to follow us for all the details. We expect to see a lot of epic clashes.
