Visa barriers have caused many Dota 2 players and entire teams to drop out of PGL Major Arlington 2022.

Chinese Xtreme Gaming decided to pass the tournament in the USA because one of its players was denied a visa. South East Asian team, Fnatic, will make three substitutions in places of core team members who were not allowed in the USA.

Players and esports org employees from Russia are also at risk. Visa was also denied to Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, a Russian Dota 2 player who is currently playing for Entity.

Even though all Natus Vincere players received visas, their coach and manager fell under the visa-ban hammer.

PGL Dota 2 Arlington Major 2022 will be held from August 4 to 14 on LAN in the USA where players will compete for $500,000.

Update 02/08/2022: Article was updated to correct an error referring to Fnatic as a Chinese team.
