Big changes were made for the 2023 season in R6 Esports due to Ubisoft’s partnership with BLAST to run the Siege competitive scene. Following this change, the new and improved Regional Leagues are back this month, with teams betting on new talent to improve their performance in these new leagues. While William “Spoit” Löfstedt was viewed as one of the best rookies last year, its a new year, and the community will be keen to look for new “Spoits”.

In this article, BLIX.GG brings to you some of the new blood to keep an eye on when official competitions start.

    Brazil

Starting with Brazil, at the end of the last year MIBR brought Nyjl and Dodez to fight for the last chance to compete at the Six Invitational. Despite the team failing to make it, MIBR retained Nyjl for 2023. With more experience in the new year, the young player has the potential to blow up. MIBR has also brought some new new faces to the squad in 2023, re-singing Luca “LuKid” Sereno and acquiring Vitor “peres” Peres from Black Dragons.

Keeping the focus on Brazil, Gabriel ‘œcameram4n’ Hespanhol’™s project, LFO Brazil, has taken in two players with high expectations in the local scene. Signed by FURIA for the 2022 season as the sixth player, Victor “Daffodil” Pedron now gets the chance to perform in a top team with LFO Brazil. The young talent played last season with Rise Gaming in Brasileirão 2022: Série B, where Rise unfortunately bombed out without a single win. LFO Brazil has also brought in Swag, another former Série B player who is highly touted heading into the 2023 season.

Finally, It’™s almost impossible to not mention the new signing from Magic Squad, Kaik “Gomess” Sousa. The player was nominated as the best player from the last edition of Série B while playing under SuperNova. The organization is well known for finding several talents like Leonardo “dash” Lopes, João “dotz” Miranda, Juliano “Levy” Andrade, Caio “Neskin” Szazi and Júlio “L0BIN” Gabriel. Gomess has the potential to be their next big find.

    Europe

Shifting to Europe, the Finnish player Jesse “Jeggz” Ojanen is set to start his first season in the European league. Jeggz and Edoardo “T3b” Treglia recently signed with WYLDE, an Irish organization that acquired NAVI’s former spot in the European league. Both players have been closely watched for their potential to be the new stars of their regions and will now have the opportunity to show that.

Marc “Jume” Steinmann, from Heroic, is one of the most promising players in Europe. At only 19 years old, the German won FPL Europe in April, July, September and October 2022, February 2021 and November 2020. Jume joined Heroic for Stage 3, gaining valuable experience in the Six Invitational 2023 despite Heroic finishing 13th-16th place.

    North America

In DarkZero, there’™s a player that claims the attention of the North American community, Gaven “Gaveni” Black. The player was called to join DZ before the SI started. Tristan, who is rumored to join beastcoat, is also one of the largest prospects to keep an eye on in the NA region.
