According to sources close to the case, Willian ‘Stk’ Costa won’t continue in FURIA for the rest of the year. From 00Nation who’s leaving the R6 competitive scene, Eduardo ‘KDS’ Fontes is the chosen to replace the 21-year-old player at the active roster.
The team is making changes following a year without a change in the lineup but only multiple changes in the coach role. Stk was one of the news for the organization in 2022 alongside the prospect Thiago ‘Handyy’ Ferreira.
FURIA should debut KDS in the Six Invitational qualifer and the team should be invited to the closed qualifier, following a position in the Global Points Stading missing few points to get a direct invite to the tournament. The organization took presence in Six Invitational, the two first Majors but missing this last Major in Jönköping. In the domestic competitions, FURIA finished the Brasileirão finals in 3rd-4th.
KDS played the 2022 season in 00Nation as mentioned before winning the Copa do Brasil of Stage 1 but ending the year in Brasileirão in 8th place. 00Nation’s year was behind expectations after building a roster with a Major winner core. The second stage of BR6 was particularly good for KDS, being the third player with more MVPs in that stage.
In contact with FURIA, the organization said that ‘don’t comment speculations’.
FURIA should consist in:
- Rennan ‘R4re’ Vitor
- Luiz ‘Miracle’ Abrantes
- Diogo ‘fntzy’ Lima
- Thiago ‘handyy’ Ferreira
- Eduardo ‘KDS’ Fontes
