According to multiple sources familiar with the situation, Ninjas in Pyjamas is studying its options in order to replace Julio “Julio” Giacomelli on the active roster. Following the Six Invitational in February, the Swedish organization evaluated making some changes to the lineup, but ultimately decided to stick with the same five players for 2022, something which may be about to change. By mutual decision, Julio is likely to be moved to the inactive role for the Ninjas, BLIX.GG has learned.
After the team’s disappointing campaign in the first stage of Brasileirão 2022, rumors about changes in NIP started to circulate. In the domestic league, NIP failed to live up to expectations and finished in last place with only 5 points.
More changes could be happening for the Ninjas, who are currently playing in the Copa do Brasil, with their next scheduled match being on Thursday, May 5th, versus MIBR.
NIP’s current roster consists of:
- João ‘Kamikaze’ Gomes
- Gustavo ‘Psycho’ Rigal
- Murilo ‘Muzi’ Moscatelli
- Gabriel ‘pino’ Fernandes
- Julio ‘Julio’ Giacomelli
- Dyjair ‘Mity’ Soares (coach)
