Evan ‘Kanzen’ Bushore won’t stay in Soniqs, and the team is already trialing players for his position, BLIX.GG has learned. The 20-year-old joined the organization at the beginning of the last year and was one of the faces that were part of the victory in the North American League 2021 Finals, collecting the first trophy in the domestic league for the Soniqs.
Since the signings of Emilio ‘Geometrics’ Leynez and Shaun ‘Gunnar’ Pottorff, the team stepped up, finishing Stage 3 in second place. The expectations for the team in the Six Jönköping Major were high, and with a 2-1 loss, Soniqs lost to the champion, BDS, in the semi-finals.
Against the odds, Soniqs decides to change the roster and bench Kanzen. BLIX.GG contacted Soniqs’ General Manager, Seth ‘supr’ Hoffman, who said, ‘Kanzen has been benched. In my opinion, he is one of the best players in the world, and this was a very difficult decision, especially for me and what we were able to accomplish together as teammates, but the team felt this was a necessary step to take heading into SI.’
