According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, BLIX understands that Martin "marteen" Pátek has reached a verbal agreement to play with Karmine Corp next season. The Czech duelist was highly sought after by teams such as Team Liquid but has reportedly agreed on a deal with Karmine Corp.
marteen is one of the most sought after pieces heading into the next VCT season, having impressed greatly during his time on Azeri organization GMT. Karmine Corp is reportedly undergoing a general rebuild of their team, with BLIX previously reporting that Andrey "Engh" Sholokhov has reached an agreement to be the team's head coach. Alongside Engh, Ahmed "ZE1SH" Sheikh has reportedly reached an agreement to be Karmine Corp's assistant coach. ZEISH is currently on Karmine Corp's bench after a three-month tenure on the team's starting lineup.
The changes to Karmine Corp's lineup come after the squad finished in tenth place in the VCT 2023 EMEA League and were later knocked out of the VALORANT Champions 2023 EMEA Last Qualifier following a 2-1 loss to NAVI.
