Sources told BLIX.GG on Wednesday that Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez has reached a verbal agreement with Cloud9 to coach the North American team.
Mithy stopped competing as support years ago, debuting as coach at Fnatic, where he spent the entire 2020 season doing so. He has also played for different teams like 100 Thieves and 1 year ago Cloud9 again.
In his time as support, he was considered one of the best supports in Europe. He competed in teams like NIP, G2 Esports, TSM, and Origen.
Mithy would be back as coach and everything points to being the head coach of the LCS team, but BLIX.GG sources can not fully confirm his position.
