Mario "Motroco" Martínez García will join UCAM Tokiers as the League of Legends Superliga squad’s head coach for this summer Split, sources told BLIX.GG on Friday.
Motroco is one of the best-known veterans of the Spanish League Of Legends scene. He started competing in 2012 as Botlaner. He has been in teams like x6tence, Wizards, and ASUS ROG Army. In addition to his time as an ADC, in 2014, he played with Dragons E.C as support.
In 2017 Motroco made the leap to coach, the role he would eventually end up taking due to his vast experience in the video game. As a coach, he has provided his services to teams like X6tence, Cream Real Betis, and this past season with Team Heretics. With Cream Real Betis he managed to qualify a team to the EU Master that no one believed capable of doing it and gave the surprise in the Superliga.
Ucam Tokiers had a bad season last split spring 2022. Out of a possible 18 wins, the Murcia team only managed to take three wins. The incorporation of Motroco to UCAM would seek to change these results for the second split and a global restructuring in the roster where the University of Murcia would only keep its jungle Cantoursna "Nji" An. The new pieces will be announced soon.
