The Australian player is coming to compete in India.
According to multiple sources, Australian player Nick “tixx” Quinn is set to join the Indian organization Gods Reign for the 2023 season. He will join the team to fill the IGL role, taking up one of the team’s two available import slots (players from outside the region).
Gods Reign is one of the organizations set to be competing in the upcoming VCL South Asia season, despite their relative recency in joining the VALORANT scene. The organization first made their appearance in the Indian qualifier for the Galaxy Racer Invitational, a premier VCT off-season event, with their roster consisting of several notable Indian players such as Vibhor “vibhoRR” Vaid and Abhay “KnightRider” Mulchandani, formerly playing for some of India’s top organizations. The team also participated in other South Asian tournaments in the time leading up to the announcement of the existence of the VCL South Asian circuit.
The Australian comes from several of the top Oceanic teams, most notably qualifying for the 2022 Stage 1 VCT APAC Playoffs under Bonkers. Under the leadership of tixx, the team was able to take down local superstars ORDER to qualify, before ending on the cusp of qualifying for the APAC Knockout Stage that would soon follow after their 1-2 Playoffs record. Tixx then went on to join BOBO in March, who emerged onto the Oceanic scene as some of the region’s newest challengers for Stage 2 and beyond.
Per sources, tixx received an offer to join Gods Reign at an upper salary level. The figures lay on par with other notable European players who have been named in negotiations to be imported to other South Asian organizations. Currently, it is not also known who the Australian will be replacing on the Gods Reign roster, however, another import can be to be added to the team, changing the makeup of the lineup even more.
Gods Reign should become:
- Daivik "DC" Chauhan
- Vibhor "vibhoRR Vaid
- Garvit "Ember" Nehra
- Aman "Hoax" Yadav
- Prish "tricky” Valvani
- Nick “tixx” Quinn
- Abhishek "Cyb0rG” Ogale (Manager)
