The official schedule for 2024 is expected to start in the middle of January and end in the middle of September.
According to sources close to BLIX.GG editorial staff, Riot Games has begun assembling the Valorant competitive model for 2024. At the moment, the official schedule is expected to start in mid-January 2024 and end in mid-September. The schedule is expected to include 2 splits, 1 Masters at the end of each split, an LCQ and the Champions.
Among the most striking changes, would be the proposed solution to the rule of substitutes that has caused problems for some teams this 2023. For this, it has been proposed the option that each VCT team has a partner team.
In this partner team, VCT teams will be able to register 1 to 4 players as substitutes. The VCT team will pay the player’s salary in the ERL, and in case of promotion the player will have to be paid at least the minimum salary established in the VCT (as it happened before). In addition to this, a VCT player can be demoted to the tier 2 team and can play on the team as long as he has played less than 50% of the VCT games.
