TaZ to Stand in for huNter for G2 at PGL Astana

G2 has announced that Nemanja ‘huNter-‘ Kovač will be absent from their initial matches at PGL Astana due to visa complications, with Wiktor ‘TaZ’ Wojtas stepping in for the 29-year-old until these issues are sorted out. G2 has not disclosed how long it might take for ‘huNter-‘ to resolve his visa problems.

    G2 Statement

Due to the competition being too easy (VISA issues), huNter will not be travelling to PGL Astana until it's resolved. We will be playing with TaZ as our stand-in for the starting matches 🫡🇵🇱 pic.twitter.com/k7rkvbgGx8

Consequently, fans will need to wait to witness the complete debut of G2 featuring Olek ‘hades’ Miskiewicz, given the recent exit of Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov to Falcons.

This isn’t the first occasion that G2 has called upon ‘TaZ’ as a substitute, as the Polish coach stepped in during the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 to replace ‘m0NESY’, once more because of visa complications.

PGL Astana will mark G2’s comeback after a break since PGL Bucharest a month prior, as the team did not participate in IEM Melbourne or BLAST Rivals during that time.

Due to the use of ‘TaZ’ as a substitute, G2 will feature a predominantly Polish roster for their initial matches, as the 38-year-old coach will be joined by fellow countrymen ‘hades’ and Janusz ‘Snax’ Pogorzelski.

Although G2 hasn’t specified the duration required to address huNter’s visa problems, ‘TaZ’ will still step in to play for their first match against MIBR, which is scheduled for May 10, 10:00 CET.
