It’s been a long time since The Elder Scrolls VI was announced, but Bethesda has given one lucky person a chance to participate in the game instead of a new trailer or other details. The studio will allow the winner to create a unique NPC for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s charity auction.
The auction winner will work with Bethesda on creating the character, for which the basis can be taken and your favorite. At the time of writing, the bid reached 30,350 dollars. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
There is no publicly stated end date, although you can assume you will be notified of such information after placing your bet. Also, this is only available to US residents.
The auction did not bring new details about the game, but at least it shows it is alive. The Elder Scrolls VI came out of pre-production in 2024 when the team completed work on Starfield and the Shattered Space add-on.
The most optimistic prediction for a release date is 2026. At least Microsoft’s court documents indicate a release isn’t expected before that date.
This isn’t the first time someone has made it into The Elder Scrolls VI as an NPC. Back in November 2018, fans of the fantasy RPG franchise added “Grandma” Shirley Curry, who became a community favorite after her YouTube video about playing Skyrim.
A few months later, Bethesda announced they had already scanned Curry to make her an NPC in the game.
