As expected, Riot Games announced the date for the much-awaited League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Awards. The event will take place on December 19, and we expect to see a lot, so letβs analyse it.
LCK Awards 2025 – Overview
People who have followed the previous LCK awards know that this is the time when weβll choose the best player in every position. The LCK 2025 Awards should also give us access to the Coach of the Year, Best Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards. If we take a look at what happened in 2024, we also expect to see a prize money reward for the Best Player of the Year award, which went in favor of Lee βFakerβ Sang-hyeok.
LCK Awards 2025 – The Favorites
Considering recent developments, it is no secret that T1 is the big favorite and will likely capture most of the rewards. The team won Worlds 2025 just a few months ago and it was the 6th title for the organization and the living legend, Faker.
Aside from T1, Gen. G is another team that will probably get a few prizes. The squad dominated last yearβs event, and considering its result in 2025, it is also among the favorites. Yes, Gen.G did not win Worlds 2025, but played really well in all other big events before that. Letβs also not forget that Joeng βChovyβ Ji-hoon won the Player of the Year award at the League Awards 2025.
Another team that we expect to win at least one award is KT Rolster. Despite not winning any big event, the team surprised everyone by reaching the Worlds 2025 finals. Players like Gwak βBddβ Bo-seong played phenomenally throughout the year, so it will be interesting to see whatβs going to happen.
In terms of Rookie of the Year, the reward will most likely go to Jeon βSiwooβ Si-Woo or Nam βDiableβ Dae-geun. Both were among the best but only one will take it home.
