Agent Balance Changes
- Brimstone: Brimstone’s Molly audio has been updated to enhance combat clarity, making it easier for players to hear under smoke. This is a small change, but it helps all Brimstone players communicate their utility.
- Astra: Astra’s Nova Pulse has been adjusted to reduce ability power creep. Aligning it with other non-ultimate concussions. This tweak encourages strategic use without overwhelming opponents.
- Nova Pulse stun duration: 4s to 3.5s
- Yoru: Knowing the importance and the power of Yoru’s ultimate, Riot made a big decision by reducing its time and increasing its points. These adjustments aim to allow other agents to compete while keeping Yoru playable.
- Dimensional Drift duration reduced from 12s to 10s
- Dimensional Drift point costs 7 to 8
Gifting Comes to Valorant
Give Back Bundle
After a long time, Riot Games released the feature of gifting skins. The most exciting feature is in this Patch Note. Starting with the first bundle of Act III, players can now send Bundles and skins directly to friends. Here is how to send gifts:
- Navigate to the Store
- Open the details page for the Featured bundle or item
- Click the Gift button in the bottom-right corner
- Select your recipient
- Choose to gift the whole bundle or individual items
- Send your gift!
The receiver can accept or decline the gift upon their login, making gifting a seamless experience. Currently limited to Featured Store items, Riot plans to expand gifting support in future updates.
Nostalgia and Music
In celebration of Valorant’s fifth anniversary, Riot is bringing back some of the iconic Episode 1 music in patches 10.08 and 10.09. This includes nostalgic music for menus, character select screens, and victory/defeat. Older players may appreciate this move as it takes them back to the old days of Valorant.
Additional Updates and Fixes
- Bug Fixes: The patch addresses numerous bugs across agents, including issues with Waylay, Harbor, Deadlock, Vyse, Yoru, Skye, Gekko, Tejo, Reyna, Iso, and more. These fixes improve gameplay stability and visual clarity and prevent exploits.
- Ranked Gun Buddy: As Act III begins, Riot Games reminded players that ranked gun buddies will be given based on the player’s rank during the season. Player can expect their gun buddies with the launch of Patch 11.00.
- Platform-Specific Updates: PC players receive updates to Premier Mode restrictions, while console players see fixes for UI issues like overlapping text and inaccurate rank requirement displays.
Looking Ahead
It was a great move by Riot Games to acknowledge how some agents are overpowered, balance agent abilities, introduce the gifting system, and celebrate the Valorant fifth anniversary with nostalgia and music. These updates enhance your experience and keep the gameplay fresh and engaging.
