EDG’s Resilient Rise
Despite Edward Gaming’s slow start in the China stage two, losing two matches in a row against Dragon Ranger Gaming and Wolves Esports. However, they quickly turned things around by winning five straight matches. This shows how mentally strong they are and how quickly they managed to solve their problem regarding the team. EDG is a strong force in the competitive world. This multi-talent team hosts significant players such as Guo “Haodong” Haodong, Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzh, and Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkangi, known for operator skills and duelist talent. Leviatán encountered some difficulties during Masters Shanghai, which resulted in their disqualification. but they took inspiration to push themselves further and get better from being disqualified by FUT Esports. During the group stage of Stage Two, Leviatán dominated by not losing a single map, finishing with an impressive record of 10-0 in maps. The team looked fearless and unstoppable in the battle scene. They quickly adapted to the meta by swapping Jett with Neon, played by Aspas, who performed exceptionally well with the support of his teammate. The team’s success was largely dependent on their ability to work together. In the Playoff, Leviatán defeated KRU 2-0 to guarantee Sentinels a spot at Champions, but they suffered a loss to G2 Esports. However, Leviatán got revenge in the final game, defeating G2 3-1 and demonstrating their teamwork. Leviatán cemented their status as a team not to be taken lightly by winning this match and declaring themselves the 2024 VCT America Champions.
