The Brazilian duelist Erick “aspas” Santos has joined MIBR. This singing would mark his third Valorant team after Leviatán and LOUD.

This deal was sealed after MIBR agreed to buy the Aspas’ contract with Leviatán, which was supposedly due to expire at the end of 2025.

Aspas’ single season with Leviatán was nothing short of remarkable. The team claimed its first-ever trophy at Americas Stage 2, a milestone in their history, and made waves internationally by finishing third at Champions 2024. Their impressive run was ended in the upper final by eventual champions EDward Gaming; in spite of that, aspas is still rated amongst the highest rated player in the tournament.

    Aspas’ Inspiring Career

Aspas first signed with LOUD in 2022 and quickly made an impact. His debut season was a trophy-filled campaign, with LOUD going unbeaten in Brazil Stage 1 Challengers and earning a spot at Masters Reykjavik. Although LOUD fell to OpTic Gaming in the grand final, the team rebounded with an undefeated run at Brazil Stage 2 Challengers, securing qualification for Masters Copenhagen and Champions 2022.

LOUD’s crowning achievement came at Champions 2022, where they claimed Brazil’s first Valorant world championship. In a dramatic turn of events, LOUD defeated OpTic Gaming twice, exacting revenge for their earlier loss and cementing their place in Valorant history.

Following another successful season in 2023, aspas left LOUD and joined Leviatán, continuing to showcase his world-class talent.

    The Next Chapter

Aspas will debut with his new team at the start of 2025. This move opens many opportunities for the Brazilian team, which has been an underdog in the Valorant scene for the last couple of years.

Aspas has always been surrounded by many talented and experienced players, whether on LOUD or Leviatán. Still, many MIBR players lack experience and international feelings, which could affect the overall team performance.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on aspas to see if he can replicate his past success and lead MIBR to lift the trophy.

    MIBR 2025 Roster

With the addition of aspas to the team, MIBR has formed a solid lineup that includes:

    • Arthur “artzin” Araujo
    •  Eduardo “xenom” Soeiro
    •  Gabriel “cortezia” Cortez
    •  Agustin “nzr” Ibarra
    •  Erick “aspas” Santos
    •  Daniel “fRoD” Montaner (Head coach)
    •  Iara “Iara” Rodrigo (Analyst)
