Valorant Skin Tiers
Skin Tiers
In the world of Valorant, cosmetics are divided into five categories, from the least expensive and simplest skin, which starts at just 10 dollars, to the most expensive, which goes up to 120 dollars. These premium skins are visually stunning and feature custom animations and sound effects. Here’s a closer look at Valorant skin pricing:
Select Edition (SE)
These skins are low-cost. They also come with no animation and zero to no art or effects.
Price: (2930-3500 VP/ up to $40)
Deluxe Edition Skins
These skins are the second tier in Valorant skins. While they dont come with animation, these skins come with some designs or drawings. An excellent example of this is the Luna Collection.
Price: (4270-5100 VP/ up to $60)
Premium Edition Skins
These skins may be pricey, but they are worth it, as they come with fully equipped unique sounds and animation, similar to the Reaver collection or Forsaken Bundle.
Price: (7100-8855 VP/ up to $95)
Exclusive Edition Skins
These exclusive skins in Valorant are not part of the night market and are never discounted, meaning they can only be purchased at the total price. These exclusive tier skins elevate the experience beyond the Premium bundles, featuring benefits such as unique kill counts, end-game kills, and custom sound effects.
Price: (7100 VP/up to $105)
Ultra Edition Skins
These are the most expensive and exclusive skins in the game. However, there are no significant differences between an Exclusive tier and an ultra-tier Valorant skin regarding animation, sound effects, or kill effects. Most rare and limited edition skins come from this category and offer an astonishing game experience.
Price: (9900 VP/ $120)
Valorant’s Rarest Skins
VCT LOCK//IN Capsule
All VCT Lock/In Capsule Variant
The VCT LOCK//IN Collection dropped to celebrate the start of the LOCK//IN 2023 tournament. This collection was only available for a month. The items included in the set were only available as a complete bundle; players had to buy the entire package to access any of its contents. After the purchase period ended, players could no longer obtain this Bundle.
Champions Skins
2022 Champions Skin
Every year, at the start of the Champions Event, Riot Games releases a Bundle containing a Vandal or Phantom and a Knife with a custom look and animation to celebrate the Champions Tournament. This bundle type targets players and teams that benefited the most, as eight participating teams will share 50 percent of the sales revenue.
Ignite Collection
Ignite Collection
The Ignite Collection dropped to celebrate the launch of servers dedicated to China. Initially, this collection offered items for a limited time only; these items were unavailable for individual purchases. Players had to buy the entire collection to access any of its features.
Fist Bump Gunbuddy
Riot Gun Buddy
One of the rarest items in Valorant is the Fist Bump gun buddy, or what many people call the Riot Gun Buddy. This item is not available for purchase, nor will it be. Riot employee hands the Fist Bump Buddy to the player who demonstrates good sportsmanship in a match. Each employee has a limited number of Gun buddies. Asking for it in chat or sending a direct message to Riot will not grant you one, making this the rarest gun buddy in Valorant.
Black Market Butterfly Knife
Sapphire Butterfly Knife
Unlike other items in this list, the Black Market Knife is ubiquitous and not rare whatsoever and can cost about 3,550 VP. What makes this Knife so unique and rare is that it can turn into a variant that can only appear once in a thousand, making it turn into a sapphire Butterfly Knife, turning it from a standard Knife into a beautiful and unique melee that only lasts for one round.
VCT capsules
Sentinels Bundle
Every partnered team worldwide has its own VCT capsule skin. Players purchase these capsules to support their favorite team, and each capsule comes with a costumed Classic, a player card, and the team logo as Gun Buddy. They sold these capsules for a limited time, and once the time is over, the players can no longer obtain them, making them rare skin among the others.
Will We See Another Rare Skin in the Future?
Riot Games releases a ton of new skins every year; some are repetitive and boring, while others are astonishing and bring fresh looks to Valorant, making the old skins feel unwanted. One thing to count on is that Riot Games will always introduce a new Champions bundle and VCT capsule every year. However, people are still determining what to expect regarding the future of valiant skins. As more players engage with the skins, Riot Games will continue to develop new offerings, hoping to deepen players’ attachment to the game.
