As expected, Riot Games finally confirmed Viktor’s New Skin. The most interesting part is that the skin will make the champion look the same as before. He received a big change in December that made him feel closer to the character from the Arcane series on Netflix.
League of Legends’s new Skin for Viktor
As mentioned, Victor’s last change made the champion a lot more interesting. The new skin also came with big updates to things like Arcane Storm because it increased in size. Sadly, it seems like most players did not like how he looked, which is why it received big criticism.
Riot seems to have been paying attention to what people think because it tweeted that Viktor is getting a new skin. This comes a few months after the 2000 Reddit comments and a petition for Riot to cancel the changes. Even though the company tried updating its new skin to make it more appealing, LoL’s community continued to “hate it”.
Following the community response and Uzi’s induction into the Hall of Fame, Riot decided to make changes. Consequently, the company confirmed there will be a new Viktor skin that will make him look the same way as he did before. The new skin will become available later this year, but we do not know the official date yet.
Even though these changes definitely surprised LoL’s community in a good way, they also raised a lot of questions. For starters, people want to know whether the new skin will have Viktor’s running animation. People also want to know about his voice lines because they were a huge part of the champion’s identity.
According to Andrei “Meddler” Roon, Riot’s Head of LoL, we may see more skins like that in the future. This will depend on how the community reacts. He also said that Riot stopped doing these “throwback” skins before because they were not popular at all, but it seems like this is no longer the case.
