So, siuhy has found himself a new team. Honestly, it’s not the team we expected, given that Snax still somehow finds himself on G2, but it’s one that we’re really excited about.
The team in question is Liquid, a team that has been undoubtedly underwhelming thus far in 2025. For all their firepower, their leadership was ultimately failing them, so it’s no surprise that they’ve chosen to change both their IGL and their coach.
They may not have signed some big, exciting coach to replace mithR, but in siuhy they have a prodigious IGL, the man marked to replace karrigan as the chief of the international team IGLs.
But that doesn’t mean that siuhy is joining Liquid with the same reputation he held when he was benched by MOUZ. At the time the decision was baffling, but in the months since, MOUZ have potentially even surpassed the level they reached with siuhy, and even worse, they’ve done so with an inexperienced IGL in Brollan.
MOUZ’s achievements in 2025 have only increased the expectation on siuhy’s shoulders. To be considered a success at Liquid, simply being a better leader than Twistzz won’t be enough. To be a success at Liquid, they must at least be on par with MOUZ, if not surpass them, and here’s why.

A question of firepower
When siuhy was benched by MOUZ, Spinx was selected as his replacement. A huge firepower upgrade, the Israeli star is back to his best on his new team, and it’s a large part of why MOUZ are enjoying the success they are currently experiencing.
Spinx joined a team that already had plenty of firepower, each of the MOUZ players are some of the best in the world in their respective roles, but the exact same thing can be said about siuhy and the players he will be joining on Liquid.
We could debate for a long time as to which player on MOUZ or Liquid is better than their opposite number, but at the end of the day, it’s mostly going to come down to current form and personal bias. If siuhy can sort out the form issues in Liquid, he’s got a real team on his hands.
But that is also exactly why being on par with MOUZ should be the minimum expectation. NertZ has been one of the best players in the world for the past two years, and Twistzz and NAF both carry reputations of being two of the best players within their roles, ultimate may still be slightly raw, but siuhy massively propelled torzsi, he can do the same with ultimate.
In theory, Liquid will also have a better IGL, so that will also be a benefit to them, but that means that he’s first going to need to sort out Liquid’s biggest problem.

The first obstacle
Liquid’s biggest problem right now is that their T sides have been abysmal. It was admirable for Twistzz to take up the reins when there was seemingly few other options, but it didn’t work out, and now siuhy has to fix the mess that he has stepped into.
The departure of jks will help, it fixes some role clashes within the team, but form will also factor into it. Raising the T-side ratings of both NAF and ultimate will be important, there’s no way that Liquid can hope to succeed without those key pieces matching the output of their rivals.
But that isn’t the only issue, siuhy will also need to figure out what to do with NertZ and Twistzz. Twistzz previously played well in roles differing to that which he had on FaZe, but the team Liquid had then didn’t afford him to do otherwise, that isn’t as necessary now that they have someone like NertZ who can also be a star.
As NER0 said in his HLTV article, NertZ can take Twistzz’s place in the map control pack, and Twistzz can return to the half-lurking he excelled in on FaZe. Unlike the previous Liquid team, that gives them balance, and that’s the best chance Liquid has to succeed.
Let’s say it all works out
So, let’s say it all works out for siuhy on Liquid. Within his unit he’ll have an incredibly mechanically-gifted AWPer, two of the best riflers in the world, and a solid anchor known for also being one of the most effective lurkers you can find.
But having all that comes with a price, and that price is expectation. Liquid are currently 13th in Valve’s ranking, a ranking considered to be far too low for the names on their team. For the sake of continuing the comparison, MOUZ are currently second. That may be considered a slight overachievement as it places them above Spirit, so let’s also give some leeway here.
Allowing for some slight room for siuhy and Liquid, let’s say that they need to get to the top five in order for them to be considered a success. MOUZ, Spirit, and Vitality aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, but there should be two more spaces up for grabs.
Aurora and The MongolZ are both strong teams, but they lack the experience that Liquid possesses, it’s reasonable to expect them to get past those two teams. That leaves us with FaZe, NAVI, and Falcons, assuming the latter does actually sign m0NESY. Two of those teams are out of sorts, and the third, even with m0NESY, has no guarantee of success. Besides, even if only one of them picks up, that still leaves room for Liquid.

So, with that said, if it all works out for siuhy and Liquid, being consistently in the top five has to be the minimum expected return. Not just that, but given MOUZ’s win at PGL Cluj-Napoca, an equivalent trophy should also be required.
It won’t be easy, there’s many obstacles to overcome and a lack of a coach to support him in doing so, but in Liquid, siuhy has an incredible opportunity. It’s one he can’t mess up if he is to reach his potential.
