Wildcard Gaming announced the signing of Joe "Hotshot" Deane as a coach, replacing Wille "r0usty" Turunen. R0usty left the team on May 18.
Hotshot will debut as a coach with this signing, having previously been a player for ROFLCOPTER GG, and the Australian rosters of Elevate and Team CryptiK. With ROFLCOPTER, he had played against Wildcard in the APAC South 2021 Relegation, but had lost as Wildcard defended their APAC South spot.
Wildcard finished in seventh in APAC South in Stage 1, likely spurring the change, and will likely be pushing hard for progress in Stage 2 before setting sights on Six Major qualification.
