Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter that was released on October 8th, 2021 and was developed by DICE. Battlefield 2042 has a variety of multiplayer modes that are mostly fought over incredibly big maps. Tournaments such as Fight Night occur frequently. Battlefield 2042 is set to have a seasonal Battle Pass, with the first releasing in Summer 2022.
Decals Decals are a customization option for Weapons in Battlefield 2042. They are small images that can be placed on the casing of a weapon. Decals can be earned by obtain certain levels in-game.
Specialists Specialists are characters within Battlefield 2042. Each Specialist has a different set of abilities that allows them to perform different functions on a team. Each specialist fits into one of four classes, Assault, Medic, Engineer and Recon.
Player Cards Player cards are cosmetic options used to display usernames, levels, titles, backgrounds and three badges. These are displayed at the beginning of each match and on the end of round screen, as well as on killcams. Player Cards can be earned by completing various in-game challenges.
Vehicles Vehicles are a method of traversing the map in Battlefield 2042. Different vehicles can travel across land, air and sea. Some vehicles have offensive capabilities, while some can only be driven. Different maps in Battlefield 2042 will have different vehicles on offer.
Ribbons Ribbons are rewards given upon reaching certain criteria in a game of Battlefield 2042. Different ribbons are awarded for performing actions with weapons, vehicles, gadgets and more. Each ribbon has three separate tiers that will grant those that earn it different levels of XP.
Drone The Drone is a non-player controlled unit that can be summoned in-game by a player through the drop menu.
Level Rewards Level Rewards are unlocks that are granted upon reaching certain levels in Battlefield 2042. Level Rewards can range from new weapons to new vehicles to new gadgets and even more.
Weapons Weapons are the primary method of dealing damage in Battlefield 2042. Different weapons fit into different class descriptions and are most effective at different ranges. Weapons can be unlocked by raising the level of an account.
Gear Gear in Battlefield 2042 are various pieces of equipment that serve different supportive functions in a specialists kit. Some pieces of gear are locked to certain specialists. New gear can be unlocked by raising the level of an account.
Skins Skins are cosmetics that change the appearance of Specialists in Battlefield 2042. Each Specialist has a variety of unique skins that can only be used while playing with that specialist. Skins can be unlocked through completing Specialist Challenges.
Specialists
Casper Recon soldier Wikus is a loner – and the unflappable, calm presence on the Task Force. A former intelligence-gathering operative in South Africa, Wikus is a master of camouflage and long-range engagement. After stumbling onto a conspiracy involving a senior officer that put the lives of those of his unit and local civilians in danger, Wikus was falsely accused of murder and fled the country. He aligned himself with the No-Pats in hopes of being able to return home one day if there is still a home to return to.
Falck A veteran Support, Maria Falck, has a strong will that cannot be shaken by danger, fear, or rank. A skilled medic, she served in the German army for six years, touring North Africa and the Middle East – in an effort to bring a positive impact upon the world. Now, she searches for her missing son, David, after hearing that he may have become involved with a No-Pat group.
Boris Self-motivated and self-fulfilling, Boris seeks to acquire power and control in a chaotic world. While his leadership skills may be a bit aggressive to some, there is no denying his skills in the field. This Russian-born Engineer is a very experienced weapons expert on the Task Force, particularly when it comes to defensive tactics, although his true attachment to the team is suspect. Nevertheless, Boris is trusted to get the job done, albeit with maximum collateral damage.
Irish A natural-born leader, Kimble "Irish" Graves, is the commander of the Specialists aboard the Exodus. A native of Brooklyn, New York, his natural leadership qualities and combat skills help keep the Non-Patriated safe from harm. Having seen the cost of war first hand as a former Marine, this skilled engineer is dedicated to protecting both his squad as well as those who cannot fight for themselves. Irish excels at fortifying positions on the battlefield, and creating small outposts with which others can use as a rallying point to make an attack.
Rao The most technical-minded of the No-Pat Task Force, Rao studied electronics and engineering in his youth while suffering from a debilitating illness. Once recovered, he was determined to utilize his skills to support his country by joining the Indian Armed Forces and later the Navy Marine Commando Unit (MARCOS). While assigned to secure Non-Patriated refugees, he was a part of a disastrous mission resulting in heavy casualties. After his discharge, he reached out to his No-Pat contacts and decided to put his talents as a Recon soldier to use in their cause. Joining the Task Force gave him a way to protect those who needed it the most and perhaps, make amends for his part in the failed mission.
Angel Growing up the son of a mechanic, Constantin has always had a love for taking things apart, building, and rebuilding them. This skill made him an incredible asset to the Romanian navy, where he served until the loss of his ship left him stranded and desperate. Cobbling together a distress beacon, he caught the attention of a No-Pat vessel and was rescued. This Support Specialist offers more than just his incredible technical skills and positive attitude – he's become something of a guardian angel to his No-Pat comrades, and a very valuable and well-liked ally.
Dozer Born in Mexico, Dozer came to the US as an undocumented immigrant and chose to join the US Army as his pathway to citizenship. Sadly, waves of mass refugee immigration led to the military reversing their position and Santiago's deportation from the country he'd risked his life to defend. Dozer didn't let this setback blunt his ambitions; he started a family and a successful business as a gunsmith before losing his home in Jalisco to brutal storms. Forced to leave once more, he and his family headed for Puerto Rico, where he uses his experience and strength as an Assault Specialist to aid Non-Patriated causes.
Mackay Outdoorsman. Nomad. Soldier. Mackay is an ass-kicker with a conscience. Following his father's footsteps, Mackay joined the Canadian military in his teens. At the height of his military career, he was a member of Joint Task Force 2 as a part of a counter-terrorism unit. After retiring from the military, he followed his dreams of exploring and living off the grid. Now, this Assault soldier fights for the Non-Patriated to make right a regret from his military days.
Paik Athletic and fiercely competitive, Paik followed in her grandfather's footsteps and joined the military where she was quickly recruited by a Republic of Korea Special Operations Forces unit specializing in covert infiltration. Separated from her unit after a vicious attack by an unidentified militia group in New Guinea, she found refuge on a No-Pat ship. She's since joined the Task Force as a deep cover Recon agent, probing the secrets of Daesong’s corporate headquarters.
Sundance Sundance definitely likes to live on the edge. They're a skilled and fearless adversary that's had two very different lives – one as a model soldier in the Armée de Terre, and an earlier and much darker existence as a trusted associate in a major Parisian crime syndicate. The latter, sadly, came back to haunt them and ended their military career pre-maturely. This Assault Specialist is doing their best to keep a low profile among the Non-Patriated, while still using their unique talents to aid the cause whenever they can.
Weapons
M1 Garand The classic semi-automatic U.S. service rifle. A famous U.S. Army General was known to have remarked that the M1 Garand was known to have remarked that the M1 Garand was “the greatest battle implement ever devised.”
MP412 Rex Six round high damage revolver pistol. Although powerful, reload times are slower than semi-automatic pistols.
M60 “The Pig” is a 7.62mm belt-fed machine gun with a 100 round capacity making it a force multiplier for any fire team.
G57 Compact, lightweight, and reliable Austrian pistol.
LCMG With a lineage tracing back to US Special Forces in the Vietnam War, the LCMG's lightweight construction and constant recoil system provide unprecedented control. An ideal fire support weapon for squad assaults.
MCS-880 The MCS-880 tactical shotgun has remained a staple of the US arsenal for nearly a century. Aiming is optional.
AKS-74U A compact and maneuverable platform that excells in CQB situations. 30 round magazine and high rate of fire say “do svidaniya” to the competition. Just keep it under contro.
M98B This precision tactical rifle was designed from the ground up as a Bolt-Action Sniper Rifle. It fires a .338 cal round from a detachable box magazine. Comes with a standard 8x Rifle Scope.
P38 The standard issue sidearm developed for German troops. Eight 9mm rounds per magazine.
K98 Sniper Those K98k rifles that proved highly accurate at the factory were designated as “sniper” variant and fitted with the best telescoping optics available. With an effective range nearing 1000m and a crystal clear sight picture, the K98 Sniper was even more deadly with a scope.

SPAS-12 This 12 gauge shotgun is a versatile and powerful weapon platform with a variety of combat applications. Pump action, 8 round capacity, running a variety of shot and slugs.
