League of Legends Wards
Wards are in-game items that reveal sections of the map by clearing the fog of war. Different types of wards will work in different ways, ranging from revealing other wards to the ability to be placed at further ranges.

Control Ward Provides good vision, denies enemy wards, traps and camouflage. Its vision can't be denied by other wards, for it it needs to be killed.
Stealth Ward Same kind of ward as the stealth ward, but this kind of ward can only be gotten from completing support items. Good vision, long lifespan but can be disabled and destroyed. It shares the vision slot with stealth wards and gives the enemy more gold than the common stealth ward, so be careful where you place it.
Ghost Poro Can only be used through the Ghost poro rune. It provides an extra layer of vision security, as it spawns a "poro ward" once your normal wards expire to keep vision in check for 60 more seconds. It is visible to enemies and the poro will flee once they enter within a 450 unit range, but it will offer no reward and it provides the player with extra damage every time it spots an enemy.
Totem Ward Classic ward. Every player is going to use it at least once every match, grants vision and is free and available at level 1
Zombie Ward You have to select the "zombie ward" rune before the game starts to be able to access this kind of wards.
Farsight Ward Last kind of "normal" ward. This long-range ward is weak, untargetable to allies and displays a smaller area of vision, but can be palced from 4000 units of distance and is indefinite (unless it's killed).
Effigy Unique ward that can only be used by Fiddlesticks (as it is his passive ability). Has very good vision range, lifespan, denies enemy vision and can't have it's own disabled. But it's more important feature is that, when seen it reacts, simulating a Fidlesticks' ability to trick enemy champions into thinking it's the real one.
