Gen.G Esports has parted ways with the League of Legends player Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk.
“Upon mutual agreement, we say goodbye to a player whose story will forever live in Gen.G’s history. Though today marks the start of his new chapter, he will always have our support & appreciation,” Gen.G noted in the statement.
23-year-old Ruler performed for Gen.G for five years since November 2017. With him, the squad has consistently ranked at the TOP-3 in the LCK series since 2020. Gen.G finished 5th-6th in the Worlds 2021 and 2022.
In honor of the athlete, Gen.G Esports decided not to use his number (#1) after the Ruler’s leaving.

- Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
- Han “Peanut” Wang-ho
- Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
- Son “Lehends” Si-woo
- Ko “Youngjae” Yeong-jae (substitute)
