The North American professional gaming organization Evil Geniuses is ready to release its current Dota 2 team and sign three players from Thunder Awaken and a duo from beastcoast, esports journalist Kenny Utama reported citing its own sources.
“A source has confirmed to me that Evil Geniuses will be letting go of their current roster and picking up a new Thunder Awaken roster. The parties have reached a verbal agreement and the long time North American organization will try to compete in the SA DPC next season,” Utama noted on Twitter.
According to his information, EG wants to invite from Thunder Awaken Crhistian “Pakazs” Casanova, Farith “Matthew” Huamancaja and Jose “Pandaboo” Hernandez. In addition, EG could hire Jean “Chris Luck” Salazar and Adrián “Wisper” Dobles from beastcoast.
Where the current players of the EG will end up is not yet known. But earlier, there was information that Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko, together with Alexander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek from Team Spirit and Vitalie “Save-” Melnic, who is inactive in Virtus.pro, can create a new team.
Evil Geniuses ranked 9th-12th at The International 2022. Despite a good performance in the group stage, the team suffered two defeats in a row in the playoffs and left the tournament.
