American esports organization NRG signs T1 player Zander “thwifo” Kim as a sixth man for its Valorant roster, Sportskeeda reported.
The 20-year-old American thwifo has been inactive in T1 since the beginning of October. He has to leave the organization due to import slot limitations. T1 was accepted into the Valorant Partnership Program as an APAC team. Due to Valorant Partnership Program rules, a partnered organization can only acquire one player from another region that the team will play.
thwifo also hinted on Twitter that he has found a new team for himself.
At that time NRG officially had only one player in its Valorant roster. It was Sam “s0m” Oh. However, in early October, there were rumors that NRG was ready to sign the core of OpTic Gaming and the former FPX player.
If all rumors are confirmed, NRG’s Valorant roster will be:
- Pujan “FNS” Mehta (from OpTic)
- Victor “Victor” Wong (from OpTic)
- Austin “crashies” Roberts (from OpTic)
- Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks (from FPX)
- Sam “s0m” Oh (NRG)
- Zander “thwifo” Kim (from T1)
