UPDATE: VP has already officially announced that they are parting ways with RAMZES666.
Several sources simultaneously confirm that the players of Virtus.pro Dota 2 roster decided to part ways after a series of setbacks related to the most prominent esports tournament, The International 2022. According to the sources, the team did not even go to the bootcamp before the TI11, saying that it was difficult for them to have one because of the destructive and toxic atmosphere within the team.
Even though about a week ago, the Russian-speaking media were boiling with rumors that Danil “gpk” Skutin decided to assemble an entirely new star lineup, only now have people started confirming that the current VP lineup will be completely disbanded.
Most likely, Virtus.pro will build the entire roster from scratch since they still have a slot in the first division of the DPC League. Also, the organization recently announced the relocation of headquarters to Armenia after the sale to a local businessman Aram Karamanukyan. The organization might has a strong hold on Roman “Ramzes666” Kushnarev, whose brand in the Russian-speaking community is very strong.
Also, the sources confirmed that Vitalie “Save-” Melnic would finally be released with the main team’s disbandment. He has not been able to find a team for almost a year since Virtus pro “froze” his contract. According to rumors, Team Secret, before signing W_Zayac, placed a bid for Save, but Virtus.pro asked for one million dollars to buy out the contract of Moldovian position four player.
So far, there has been no official announcement from the club about any departure besides Ramzes. Virtus.pro current roster:
