German professional CS:GO player Timo “Spiidi” Richter, who has been playing for four years for Sprout, is leaving the team.
“Today will be one of the most emotional goodbyes as we say farewell to Spiidi. A player that was part of our journey from the very start on and who became family to us here at Sprout. Thank you Timo for your commitment and many memorable moments. We will miss you dearly,” said the Sprout statement.
Spiidi has been with Sprout since December 2017. The club has won the German national championships several times since then, but couldnât achieve high results in the international arena.
Richter commented on his departure. He thanked his partners and the esport organization, and also said that he had not lost interest in the competitive scene and plans to continue performing after the break.
“I definitely want to continue as a player because I still love CS and I still love the grind and I especially still love the team game. I have a lot of experience to offer. I donât want to just join a team to have a team, I want to believe in what I am doing and I will give everything for the team that it will work out. After the player break I will start with my individual practice and maybe we see us in the stream. From now on I am open for any talks,” Spiidi reported.
We donât know who will replace Spiidi in Sprout. However, the organization has promised to share details in the near future.
“Of course, the German scene is of particular importance to us, so we would like to say in advance that we will keep our promise and continue to field a roster in the Meisterschaft. In the next few weeks you will see our approach why and how we take the next step, so please bear with us, ” Sprout reported.
Sprout’s current lineup is:
- Rasmus “raalz” Steensborg (IGL)
- Fritz “slaxz-” Dietrich
- Victor “Staehr” Staehr
- Laurentiu “lauNX” Tarlea
- Danny “BERRY” Krüger (coach)
