Evil Geniuses team has not yet renewed contracts with Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov and Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte, reports Dust2.us citing multiple sources. They could be free agents in September.
The loss of these key players would, despite their recent lackluster performances, would be a harsh blow for the organization after a massively disappointing start to the year.
“While it would be a watershed moment for Evil Geniuses three-year history in CS:GO, it could be a blessing in disguise for the organization and a moment to prove the value of the “Blueprint” project. CeRq and Brehze have been in a noticeable slump for the better part of a year, causing concern to many in North America who can recall their heights in the best team in the world during 2019. Evil Geniuses have a number of players on hand to replace them them, with Josh “PwnAlone” Pigue and Jadan “HexT” Postma being inexperienced but highly talented players with similar roles” Dust2.usreports.
As for CeRq and Brehze, despite their lackluster form, they would likely remain highly sought after pieces in NA and potentially abroad for CeRq.
