We saw many top-tier Dota 2 players, but some performed much better. Naming the best Dota 2 players of 2024 is not easy, but we have re-watched all of the big events during the year. Some names are clearly on another level, so let’s dive in and learn more about them.

Danil “gpk” Skutin
At the time of writing, BetBoom Team is one of the best Dota 2 teams in the world, so it’s no surprise that gpk is on the list. Although he is currently inactive, he played for the squad until late September. He has helped it achieve good results, so we believe he is among the best Dota 2 players right now.
Gpk is a 23-year-old Russian mid laner who became a part of BetBoom in late 2022. Since then, he and his team won a lot of big events. The highlight of the year for gpk was the 2nd place at DreamLeague Season 22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024.
Interestingly, BetBoom Team achieved its best result in 2024 a few days ago after winning BLAST Slam I. The team was able to defeat Tundra Esports following an epic battle.
Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf
If we take a look at the best Dota 2 players by position and focus on the offlane, ATF will definitely stand out. The young Jordanian offlaner has been in excellent form throughout 2024. It is safe to say that he is among the big reasons for Team Falcon’s success and the fact that this is the best Dota 2 team in the world right now.
Speaking of 2024 and the results, ATF and his squad won countless tournaments. The list includes events like BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, ESL One Birmingham 2024, DreamLeague Season 24, and more. It’s true that all of Team Falcons’s players deserve to be here, but ATF was just on another level as usual.
If we analyze the player’s stats, we can see that he has a massive win rate with Team Falcons. ATF is definitely among the best Dota 2 players of 2024, and we can’t wait to see him in action in 2025.
Egor “Nightfall” Grigorenko
The next name when it comes down to the best Dota 2 players right now is Nightfall. The Russian carry player was a part of the BetBoom Team throughout most of 2024. In fact, he joined Tundra Esports in early October. Despite only being with the team for 2 months, he and the squad already secured 2nd place at BetBopom Dacha Belgrade 2024 and BLAST Slam I.
Nightfall is an important player because he is an excellent carry and offlaner. The 22-year-old began his professional career in 2019 with Virtus.Pro. Naturally, he has changed a couple of teams since then and is now playing for Tundra Esports.
2025 will be an intriguing year for Nightfall, and we believe that he will have a pivotal role in Tundra’s success. We can see that he fits in really well because the squad became much stronger following his arrival.
Quinn “Quinn” Callahan
There is no arguing that Gaimin Gladiators is not as strong in 2024 as it was in 2023. Nevertheless, the team continued to impress its fans, and Quinn was one of the reasons why it achieved several good results. That’s why we believe that he has to be on the best Dota 2 players ranking list.
If we check Gaimin Gladiator’s performance in 2024, we can see that the team won the Riyadh Masters 2024. It also finished second at TI 2024, and Quinn had a major role in each of the club’s success.
As you may know, Quinn is among the most popular North American players. He became a part of GG in 2022, but before that, he played for Quincy Crew, Newbee, OpTic Gaming, Chaos EC, and more. Besides being famous for his skills, the player is also known for many controversies.
Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
When talking about the best Dota 2 players of 2024, Nisha is one of the names that has to be mentioned. Yes, this was probably not his best year so far, but there is no arguing that he has been Team Liquid’s star. That’s why we wanted to include him on the list.
Team Lquid’s performance in 2024 has been relatively good. Yes, the squad has not won most of the events, but it finished 2nd at the Riyadh Masters 2024 and won The International 2024. The latter ensured that Nisha would go down in history.
Nisha has been a part of Team Liquid’s top-tier roster since 2022. Before that, he played 4 years for Team Secret and also spend some with with Let’s Do It, Team Kinguin, Alternate aTTaX, and others.

Speaking of Xtreme Gaming, XinQ helped the team win Games of the Future 2024, Elite League Season 1, and Clavision: Snow Ruyi. The team also finished second at PGL Wallachia Season 1.
Before joining XG, XinQ played for Azure Ray, PSG.LGD, and EHOME. In other words, he has been a part of almost all top-tier Chinese Dota 2 powerhouses over the years.
