Although 2024 is almost over, some of the best Dota 2 teams are doing everything possible to qualify for the significant events in 2025. One of them is the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025. With its $1,000,000 prize pool, the tournament will attract all the big names.
Speaking of big names, the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers are underway. It is true that we are yet to see what’s gonna happen in some regions, but we already know the results in others. That’s why it is time to go through each and learn more.
Americas
It’s safe to say that Americas is not the most interesting Dota 2 region to follow right now. Many big names decided to leave and move to other regions. With that said, there are some squads that deserve more attention, so let’s see what happened.
Most people expected M80 to dominate the qualifiers. However, the result was different because the qualifiers ended in favor of Apex Genesis.
Fayde and co. were flawless and defeated everyone. The team began with a dominant victory against Fantasy Gaming, followed by winning against FUSION. After that, Apex Genesis dealt with M80 twice. The first match between the two was close, but the squad ripped through their competitors in the second one.
After the quick 3-0 victory, AG secured the slot for the upcoming event in Belgrade.
Western Europe
When talking about the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers, we need to mention Western Europe. These were undoubtedly the most interesting qualifiers out of all because a lot of teams here had what it takes to win. Most people probably expected Nigma Galaxy to dominate, but this didn’t happen.
AVULUS, Team Secret and Nigma Galaxy were the three big squads that people were interested in. All of them did well, but in the end, AVULUS was above the rest and won the qualifiers.
SoNNeikO and his teammates defeated both of their opponents before they won the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers. AVULUS dealt with Team Secret in the UP Semifinal, after which it met Nigma Galaxy twice. Both clashes were amazing and full of clutch moments. Sadly for people like KuroKy and his team, Nigma Galaxy failed to win and will not be present in Belgrade next year.
Southeast Asia
The third region that took part in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers is SEA. Normally, this is one of the most interesting regions to follow because teams here are unpredictable. These quals were no exception because they offered us tons of action.
Talon Esports, BOOM Esports and The MongolZ were the three teams that people were interested in. All of them lived up the expectations, but in the end, Talon proved to be above the rest.
Mikoto and his crew had an amazing run and defeated everyone to win the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers. After winning in the first round, Talon Esports had its first big challenge in the face of Team MongolZ. Following the victory, Talon met against BOOM Esports two times in a row.
While the first series between the two was more or less one-sided, the final was epic. Yes, Talon won the clash, but it was definitely not a walk in the park. In fact, the third clash between the teams was almost 2 hours long, meaning we had some incredible moments.
Eastern Europe
At the time of writing, Eastern Europe is one of the regions in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 qualifiers where the matches aren’t over yet. Nevertheless, there are a few big names here that deserve attention, and we’d like to share a few words about them.
By the looks of it, Chimera Esports and 9Pandas are the two teams that you should definitely pay attention to. The same is true for 1w Team, but the latter already made a mistake after losing the first clash.
The grand final in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers will take place on Dec 27, so it will be interested to see who will make it. One thing is certain – the EEU representative is definitely going to be one of the favorites in Belgrade.
China
Last but definitely not least, we have China, the region that’s home to numerous top-tier powerhouses. The one that definitely deserves more attention here is Yakult Brothers. This squad consists of names like Ame, BoBoKa, Emo, and others. As of now, the roster already defeated its first opponent, and we expect it to keep dominating.
Another team that also deserves attention here is Titan. With names like Echo, Mercy, and Erika, this is one of the teams that will do everything possible to win. However, we are yet to see if it will be able to overcome Yakult Brothers and the rest.
Conclusion
We will have to wait a couple of days to see what’s going to happen in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 Qualifiers in the last two regions. One thing is certain – this will be one of the most interesting Dota 2 tournaments of 2025.
Keep in mind that we do not yet know the names of the teams that will receive an invitation. We expect this to change soon, however, because FISSURE PLAYGROUND Belgrade 2025 should take place on Jan 21.
