ESL One Bangog 2024 will be one of the last big Dota 2 tournaments this year, and it will definitely be memorable. Taking place between Dec 9 and 15, the tournament will bring together 12 world-class teams. Each one will be fighting for the big prize pool of $1M, as well as ETP points.
Considering it’s one of the last important events this year, the teams will do everything possible to win. There is a lot to unpack here because each team has what it takes to win, so let’s dive in.

League Information
ESL One Bangkok 2024 is a part of the ESL Pro Tour and the ESL One Series. Organized by ESL Gaming, this offline event will be held in Bangkok, Thailand’s Capital. Those who were lucky to get ESL One Bangkok 2024 tickets will have to go to the Royal Paragon Hall.
ESL One Bangkok 2024 Format & Prize Pool
As mentioned, the Dota 2 tournament will include a total of 12 teams. Four got their slots from the ETP Loeadboard, but the rest had to go through qualifiers. We will share more details about the teams in a bit.
The actual tournament will consist of a Group Stage and Playoffs. There will be two groups, and each one will have six teams. The top two squads from each group will compete in the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs. Dota 2 teams who finish 3rd or 4th in their group will need to play in the Lower Bracket, whereas the remaining two will no longer be a part of ESL One Bangkok 2024.
After the playoffs arrive (they will be held between Dec 13-15), the event will give us access to a double-elimination bracket. Every match will be in Bo3 until the final arrives. This is when we will have a Bo5.
In terms of the prize pool, this tournament’s reward is $1,000,000 and 20,940 ETP Points.

Although the event is due to start a few weeks from now, the organizers gave us access to all teams participating in ESL One Bangkok 2024. Here is the full list:

Team Falcons, Team Spirit, PARIVISION and BetBoom Team were the 4 squads that received an invitation because of the TP Leaderboard. All of the rest had to go through qualifiers. As you have seen, there are a lot of interesting names that will take part in the event, but let’s analyze the potential favorites
Team Falcons
This is hands down the best Dota 2 team in 2024, so it’s not surprising that we believe Team Falcons will win. Following the impressive victory against BetBoom Team in the DreamLeague Season 24, Team Falcons will be looking to secure yet another tournament under their belt.
BetBoom Team
Despite not having the same success as Team Falcons, BetBoom Team is also one of the big names in Dota 2 right now. In addition to the 2nd place at DL S24, the squad also got 2nd in DL S22 and ESL One Birmingham 2024. Considering the other solid results, Gleb “kiyotaka” Zyryanov and the rest are among the names to look out for.
PARIVISION
Although this may not be everyone’s favorite, we at Blix.gg believe that PROVISION is definitely one of the teams that deserves attention. This interesting roster proved at DreamLeague Season 24 that it can bring down the best in the world. Considering that this event was just a few weeks ago, it’s no surprise we think this is among the favorites.
PARIVISION was first in Group A and then finished 3rd in Group Stage 2. Sadly, the squad was unable to take down Team Falcons and lost in the Lower Bracket semifinal.
The interesting names to keep an eye on
Although most people will probably focus more on the favorites, this does not mean that there are no other interesting names at ESL One Bangkok 2024 that are worth watching. They may not win the event, but people will be eager to see them in action.
Nigma Galaxy
It is safe to say that this will be the most talked about Dota 2 team at the ESL One Bangkok 2024. Nigma Galaxy has one of the deadliest rosters in the professional scene but hasn’t been able to reveal its full potential yet.
The squad missed out on almost all big tournaments in 2024. In fact, its best result so far is 3rd place at Clayvision: Snow Ruyi, an event where Nigma Galaxy lost against Team Spirit.
Despite the poor results, having Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan and Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi in the same roster means danger. These two players have proven themselves so many times so far, so others need to be careful.
Gaozu
The second team that a lot of fans should keep a very close eye on at ESL One Bangkok 2024 is Gaozu. If you take a look at them, you will see that the Chinese stack has some of the best players in the country. Having Zhang “Paparazi灬” Chengjun and Wang “Ame” Chunyu on the same roster is not something you see every day, so we can’t wait to see these players in action.
Team Liquid
Arguably the 3rd-best Dota 2 team in the world right now, Team Liquid is one of the ESL One Bangkok 2024 favorites. 2024 has been an interesting year for the squad because it finished 2nd at the Riyadh Masters 2024. Following that event, the team stepped up its game and won The International 2024.
Despite these two impressive results, Team Liquid wasn’t able to shine at DreamLeauge Season 2024. The squad ended up 6th in Group Stage 2 and was unable to make it to the playoffs.
